The regulator says it wants to "avoid additional burdens on firms at this time".

The regulator has also abandoned plans to introduce diversity and inclusion rules.

Baroness Morrissey says "we can expect other forms of poor behaviour - harassment, discrimination, bullying, racism and so on – to continue as well". 

58% of those at senior levels are from a higher socio-economic background, compared with 45% at junior levels.
