Santander cuts majority of first-time buyer and home mover rates

The lender has reduced rates by up to 0.15% but increased other rates across its purchase and remortgage ranges.

Santander is reducing most fixed rates in its home mover and first-time buyer ranges, with rate increases to selected five-year fixed rates. 

In Santander's first-time buyer range, all 75-95% LTV two-year fixed rates are reducing by up to 0.08% and 75% LTV three-year fixed rates are down by 0.05%. 

In its residential home mover range, the majority of 75-95% LTV two-year fixes are decreasing by up to 0.15% and 90-95% LTV five-year fixes by up to 0.07%.

Elsewhere, selected first-time buyer five-year fixed rates are increasing by up to 0.09% and 60% LTV five-year home mover rates are up by 0.06%.

In addition, selected two and five-year fixed rate remortgage products are increasing by up to 0.08%.

In Santander's buy-to-let range, all 60-75% LTV two-year fixed rates are reducing by up to 0.10% and 60% LTV two-year remortgage rates are down by 0.05%.

Across Santander's product transfer rates, selected residential two, five and seven-year fixed rates are increasing by up to 0.08% and buy-to-let two-year fixed rates are reducing by 0.05%.
