NatWest increases mortgage rates by up to 0.20%

The largest increase is to a five-year fixed rate switcher product.

NatWest has announced a series of rate increases across its residential mortgage range for both new and existing customers.

In its core residential range, two-year fixed rates have increased by between 10 and 15bps, with the largest increases at 90% and 95% LTV. The cheapest two-year fixed rate is now 4.64% at 60% LTV with a £1,495 product fee.

Two-year remortgage rates are also increasing by between 10 and 15bps, with 60% LTV rates now starting from 4.73%.

Five-year fixed rates now start from 4.24% at 60% LTV after seeing increases of between 10-15bps, while remortgage rates start from 4.35%.

First-time buyer two and five-year fixed rates have also seen increases of between 10-15bps, while shared equity rates have increased by 0.10%.

10bps rate increases have also been applied to NatWest's residential green purchase and remortgage range.

For existing customers, two-year fixed rate switcher products have seen increases of between 2 and 15bps, with rates now starting at 4.64%.

Five-year fixed rate switcher products have increased by up to 20bps, with the largest increase to a 60% LTV product, rising from 4.04% to 4.24% with a £995 fee.
