NatWest cuts residential and buy-to-let rates by up to 0.52%

The reductions apply across purchase, remortgage and rate switcher products.

NatWest has announced widespread rate cuts across its residential and buy-to-let purchase and remortgage ranges.

In its residential range, two-year fixed rate remortgage products are decreasing by up to 0.40%, with the largest rate cuts to 75% LTV products, now available from 4.72%.

Two-year fixed rate purchase products have reduced by up to 0.42%, with the largest reduction to a 75% LTV product, down to 4.60% with a £1,495 fee. 60% LTV rates have decreased by 37bps and now start from 4.55%. At higher LTVs, 90% and 95% LTV rates have also reduced by up to 30bps.

Five-year fixed rate purchase products are down by up to 30bps, with the largest rate cuts at high-LTVs.

In its first-time buyer range, two and five-year fixed rates have reduced by up to 0.30% between 85-90% LTV, with rates now starting from 4.69%.

Shared equity products have seen reductions of between 21-42bps, while residential and buy-to-let green mortgages are also down by up to 0.42%.

In NatWest's buy-to-let range, two-year fixed rate purchase and remortgage products have reduced by up to 0.46%. Two-year purchase products have fallen by up to 0.25% and now start from 5.29%, while remortgage rates are down by up to 0.46%, with the largest reductions to 75% LTV products.

Five-year fixed rate buy-to-let purchase products have reduced by up to 0.40% with the largest reduction to a fee-free 60% LTV product, now available at 4.78%. Five-year remortgage rates have reduced by up to 0.52%, with fee-free 60% LTV products benefitting from the largest cuts, now starting at 4.78%.

For existing customers, residential two-year fixed rate switcher products have reduced by up to 41bps and five-year products by up to 11bps.

Buy-to-let two and five-year switcher rates will also see reductions of up to 25bps.

As part of the changes, term end dates are moving to 31th April of the relevant year.
