NatWest and Co-operative Bank increase residential rates

Co-op Bank has increased rates by up to 0.41%.

NatWest and the Co-operative Bank have both announced rate increases across their mortgage ranges.

NatWest has increased rates across its two and five-year fixed rate switcher products by 10bps, with two-year rates now starting from 4.69% and five-year rates from 4.39%.

Co-operative Bank has increased selected two, three and five-year residential rates by up to 0.41%, while other rates in the range have decreased by up to 0.07%.

In its professional mortgage range, the Bank has also increased selected two and five-year products by up to 0.41%.

Last week, Coventry Building Society announced a potential acquisition of Co-op Bank in a deal worth £780m.
