Nationwide increases purchase and remortgage rates

The cheapest five-year fixed rate at 60% LTV is now 4.14%.

Nationwide has announced rate increases across its residential purchase and remortgage ranges for both new and existing borrowers.

In its new business range, the lowest two-year fixed rate available is for new members moving home, at 4.28% with a £1,499 fee, 4.33% with a £999 fee, or 4.58% fee-free.

Two-year fixed rates have increased across all LTVs up to 95%, with the cheapest rates at 4.45% up to 75% LTV and 4.69% at 80% and 85% LTV.

Three-year fixed rates have risen to 4.24% at 60% LTV, 4.39% at 75% LTV, 4.59% at 80-85% LTV, and 4.98% at 90% LTV, all with a £999 fee.

The cheapest five-year fixed rate at 60% LTV is now 4.14% with a £1,499 fee, rising to 4.29% at 75% LTV and 4.53% at 80% and 85% LTV.

Two, three and five-year first-time buyer products have all increased across the majority of LTV brackets.

For remortgage borrowers, two-year fixed rates have increased between 60-80% LTV, with the lowest rate on offer at 4.39% with a £1,499 fee. Three-year fixed rates now start from 4.34% and five-year fixes from 4.19%.

Two, three and five-year fixed rates have also increased across Nationwide's additional borrowing and switcher ranges.
