Melanie Fourie has joined Together as its new corporate sales director for the North West.
Mel Fourie, who has 30 years’ experience in the financial services industry, re-joins Together, having previously worked at the Manchester-based lender between 2018 and 2021.
In her new role, Mel will focus on expanding her network, building strong relationships with introducers, SMEs, investors and entrepreneurs across the region.
Mel joins Together from privately-owned commercial lender ASG Finance, where she had been an executive director and board member for two years. Before that, she had been head of sales for the North at property finance firm Sancus Lending Group.
Previously, Mel was national development director and head of affiliates at Together and before that was a strategic partnership manager at SME lending platform RateSette and a regional development manager in the corporate and commercial sectors for Funding Circle.
Prior to that, she spent more than 13 years as a regional business manager for Barclays, where she was involved in retail, private banking, corporate banking and business banking, delivering funding to clients across the North West, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Mel said: “It’s fantastic to be returning to Together, a business with a common-sense approach to lending and one where I feel I can help the most people achieve their property ambitions.
“Together’s broad offering and flexible criteria means we are able to support corporate clients, whatever their circumstances may be. I’m looking forward to connecting with all the amazing introducers and clients I’ve worked with over the past three decades working in financial services, and I can’t wait to support the company in its next phase of growth.”
Alex Bodie, director of corporate and community housing at Together, added: “I’m delighted to be welcoming Mel back to Together.
“Her background in financial services speaks for itself and she is well-known within the industry, not only for her wealth of knowledge and experience but also her passion for building cast-iron relationships with corporate clients, which will prove a huge benefit for our business.”
