She will primarily be Together’s representative in Wales and will review strategic growth plans with directors.

Maeve will also support brokers and colleagues, providing group training presentations, lender days, and where appropriate, media and events in the region.

Maeve, who started her career in financial services 25 years ago, and has a wealth of knowledge and experience in the regulated specialist sector, said she was “excited” to start her new role this month.

Ward said: “I’ve known Together for a long, long time and our paths have crossed many times while I’ve worked for competitors.

“There was a part of me that hoped I would end up working here, it was just a case of when was the right time. I’ve been impressed with all aspects of Together; the heritage, the product suite, and the huge potential and desire for further growth with its intermediary partners.

“I’m excited that I’ll be part of pushing the brand forward at a time when there is an appetite to support mortgage and second charge projects and really looking forward to working with our broker partners to understand future opportunities for growth.

“Together has aspirational plans to increase its lending and it’s fantastic to have been brought into this new role - it just feels like coming home.”

Maeve started her career with First National Bank, later moving to GE Money and bridging lender Link Lending.

She took up a position at Shawbrook Bank in 2010, spending nearly a decade at the business, initially heading up their internal sales team, BDM, National Account Manager and Sales and Operations Director.

Maeve was Managing Director of the bank’s residential mortgages team before leaving to set up with others, her own lender, Focused Lending Ltd. She joins Together from Central Trust and Mercantile Trust, where she was Director of Commercial Operations.

Maeve will report to Tanya Elmaz, Director of Intermediary Sales.

Elmaz said: “I’m delighted to welcome Maeve, who comes to us with a wealth of experience and industry knowledge. Her extensive understanding of the regulated specialist market means she is perfectly placed for Together and the Intermediary team.”

Maeve’s appointment means that 71% of the group’s intermediary senior leadership team is now made up of women.

Tanya added: “Attracting the best talent in the market is key to the success of Together Maeve’s natural aptitude for products and sales, as well as her tenacious work ethic, will make her a welcome addition to our well-established intermediary sales channel.”
