"Being able to independently obtain a decision in principle at a time that is convenient for them will substantially improve the customer journey"
- Gemma Donnelly, head of customer propositions at Gatehouse Bank
Gatehouse Bank has enhanced its online decision in principle (DIP) facility by making it available for UK expats and international residents, in addition to UK residents.
This will allow all qualifying Home Purchase Plan (a Shariah-compliant alternative to a mortgage) and buy-to-let customers to independently obtain a DIP in approximately ten minutes.
The online facility is available round-the-clock, allowing customers to obtain a DIP at a time convenient to them, without needing to speak to a direct adviser.
Gatehouse Bank’s online DIP facility is also available for buy-to-let customers seeking finance for HMOs, multi-unit freehold blocks (MUFBs) or properties under a limited company name.
Once customers have obtained a decision in principle, they will be prompted to upload their supporting documentation through a secure platform. These will be reviewed by Gatehouse Bank’s direct adviser team ahead of any application calls.
Gemma Donnelly, head of customer propositions at Gatehouse Bank, commented: “We are pleased to announce these enhancements to our decision in principle facility, which have been designed to offer greater convenience and flexibility for our customers.
“Being able to independently obtain a decision in principle at a time that is convenient for them will substantially improve the customer journey, especially in instances where time difference is a factor.”
