MAE Mortgage Adviser Event 2023
"Our sessions will give us an overview of some of the hot topics in our industry – particularly the cost of living crisis and the upcoming Consumer Duty rules"

The full line-up of speakers has been announced for the upcoming Mortgage Adviser Event in London, taking place at Tobacco Dock on the 24th of May.

The event, which is now in its third year, is returning to the capital with two theatres and up to four CII-accredited CPD hours available.

The Financial Reporter seminar theatre includes sessions on protection in the cost of living crisis from Stuart Halliwell at Legal & General, an in-depth look at the upcoming Consumer Duty with Steven Howard at SimplyBiz, and a residential lending panel debate with Aldermore's Matt McCullough, The Mortgage Lender's Louise Apollonio, and Saffron Building Society's Tony Hall.

The second theatre – named the Financial Reporter Futures theatre for its focus on forward-thinking topics and the future of the industry – includes a session on how brokers can get more from their marketing efforts with spokespeople from The Mortgage Marketing Forum, Market Financial Solutions, Bluestone Mortgages, and Pepper Money. It will also host a session entitled 'The question of HMOs' with David Whittaker from Keystone Property Finance, followed by a specialist lending panel debate on adverse credit with Pepper Money's Rob Barnard, Tandem's Roger Morris, Central Trust's Maeve Ward, and Together's James Briggs.

Attendees will also be invited to the ‘After Hours’ networking session taking place after the exhibition ends.

MAE London is free to attend for all intermediaries. To see the full line-up for this year’s Mortgage Adviser Event London and book your place, you can visit the MAE website here.

Event organiser Laura Calcroft said: "We're delighted to announce our seminar programme for MAE London – as always, we’ve aimed to bring a well-rounded, interesting line-up of speakers and sessions and I think we’ve achieved precisely that.

“Our sessions will give us an overview of some of the hot topics in our industry – particularly the cost of living crisis and the upcoming Consumer Duty rules – as well as practical tips for advisers on expanding their marketing and product offerings. There’s something for everyone and we hope everybody who attends will be able to take something valuable away from this programme.

“We have an exceptional roster of speakers covering a wealth of topics, and the opportunity to learn – as well as network with over 50 exhibitors – is a key part of what Mortgage Adviser Event is about. We want every attendee to go away with new connections, new knowledge, and new insight into the future of the mortgage industry.”
