Castle Trust Bank has strengthened its bridging proposition with a series of criteria enhancements and new hires to increase the level of support it offers to brokers.

Castle Trust has restructured its operations to introduce a dedicated bridging underwriting team, delivering specialist expertise and a more streamlined approach to bridging finance applications. The bank has appointed Jackie Merrigan as senior underwriter and Simon Rogerson as underwriter to support the new team.

The lender has also expanded its sales team with the recruitment of Tyrone Alexander (pictured) as a BDM for London. Tyrone will work alongside Sammi Gilbank, regional account manager, to provide brokers across the capital with specialist support and bespoke bridging solutions.

To further improve transaction speed, Castle Trust will now use ‘no search’ indemnity insurance on heavy refurb cases as standard.

Anna Lewis, commercial director at Castle Trust Bank, said: “These changes mark a significant step forward in our commitment to providing brokers with a market-leading bridging proposition. By introducing a dedicated underwriting team, expanding our sales coverage in London, and optimising our bridging processes, we are enhancing both the speed and quality of our service.

"The recruitment of Jackie, Simon, and Tyrone adds a wealth of experience to our team, and we are confident that these improvements will provide real value to brokers and their clients.”
