Mortgage Adviser Event is delighted to welcome Stephanie Charman, the newly appointed Chief Executive of the Association of Mortgage Intermediaries (AMI), to deliver the keynote address at this year’s Mortgage Adviser Event in London.

This will be Stephanie’s first keynote address in her new role, offering brokers a unique opportunity to hear her view of our industry and how the AMI plans to support advisers through the next chapter of change.

The session will explore the current state of the mortgage market and what lies ahead for brokers, with a look at how inflation, interest rates, and the cost-of-living crisis are shaping consumer behaviour and remortgage activity. It will also examine how brokers can evolve their value proposition - identifying overlooked demographics such as self-employed and later-life borrowers and expanding the scope of advice brokers offer through products like protection.

The session will also cover the shifting regulatory landscape, including reflections on the first year of Consumer Duty and anticipated policy developments affecting landlords and the buy-to-let sector.

With AMI playing a key role in championing brokers’ interests, the keynote will highlight how the association is supporting advisers through change. Finally, Stephanie will look ahead to the future of the profession - addressing how we attract new talent, improve diversity and inclusion, and position mortgage advice as a career of choice.

Returning for a fifth year, Mortgage Adviser Event will once again bring along the best exhibitors, forward-thinking educational content and networking opportunities.

The event, taking place at Magazine London on 20th May, will feature over 50 exhibitors from across the UK mortgage industry, including high street banks, buy-to-let lenders, plus a host of other protection firms and specialist lenders.

Additionally, the show will feature two forward-thinking seminar theatres and an 'ask an underwriter clinic' for advisers to earn CPD hours.

MAE London is free to attend for all intermediaries, with free parking on-site for all attendees.

Attendees can take full advantage of Magazine's modern and contemporary setting, enjoy barista style coffee and food from a selection of street food caterers, all before joining the industry-renowned After Hours event at the close of the show for networking, drinks and a live DJ.

As the new chair of AMI, Stephanie brings a fresh perspective at a pivotal time for our industry. Her keynote will set the tone for an event focused on progress, opportunity and the future of mortgage advice. With the market evolving rapidly, brokers need a strong voice and clear insight — and that’s exactly what Stephanie will bring to the stage."
