Allica Bank has announced that it has appointed Emma Lindsay as Business Development Manager for asset finance in Scotland and the surrounding regions.
Emma, who is based in East Ayrshire, has over a decade of experience in asset finance and is well-placed to lead the development of new and current broker relationships in the region, providing expertise and human support to brokers and their clients.
The appointment comes at a time of rapid growth for Allica’s asset finance proposition, having first launched in early 2021. Its broker-facing team has expanded from 6 to 11 business development staff over the past 12 months and in September it reported that it was now receiving £70 million of applications a month.
The bank has also been expanding its offering, including earlier this year rolling out support for both soft and medium assets.
Brandon Hall, (pictured) Head of Asset Finance Sales at Allica Bank, said: “We are excited to welcome Emma to the Allica team as we grow our presence in Scotland.
“Her in-depth understanding of business needs in Scotland, as well as her experience working as both a broker and lender, will make her an invaluable partner to the Scottish broker community. I’m over the moon that she’s brought that expertise to us!”
Emma says she is ready to get started: “From my own experience being a broker, I know how valuable Allica’s commitment to maintaining human relationships really is. Some of the things Allica’s technology enables us to do are astonishing for the broker experience.
"But that’ll never replace a broker being able to speak directly to their dedicated business development manager at the bank to talk through a complex deal. I’m incredibly excited to be here!”
