It is also increasing selected two-year and five-year remortgage fixed rates.

The lender has increased residential rates by up to 0.20% on its fee-free two-year fixed rates up to 85% LTV, and on five-year fixed rates between 75-80% LTV.

Two-year fixed rates for buy-to-let borrowers between 0-60% LTV with no fee will also rise by 0.20%.

Earlier this month, NatWest increased rates across several of its two and five-year fixed rate purchase and remortgage rates by up to 0.90%.

Moneyfacts data released on Monday revealed that 95% LTV rates are being the hardest hit ahead of a potential rate rise, increasing by 0.10% on average.
