Co-Op Bank to lend exclusively through intermediaries

Co-Operative Bank has announced that it will no longer provide new lending directly to borrowers, instead providing its mortgage range exclusively through its intermediary brand Platform.

In a statement, Co-Op Bank says it will "no longer list the direct mortgage products for The Co-op Bank as they will not be available to new customers from Friday 9th February".

Retail products will remain available directly with the bank for existing mortgage customers only.

Co-Op Bank says its Platform brand continues to grow and is "now focused on keeping our products competitive and working with our broker partners to find the best deals for their clients".

Existing customers will be able to manage their mortgage needs with The Co-operative Bank in line with their mortgage terms and conditions. All mortgage in principles, decision in principles and applications in process with the bank, prior to Friday February 9th 2018 will be honoured and completed within the standard terms and conditions of the offers.
